October's fields begin to take shape
The September 27 district outlook puts the Division III individual estimates around 20:15 for boys and 28:00 for girls. Both have moved faster since September 20 as the season results and projected team order change. Final entries and race-day conditions will help decide the actual qualifying places.
Caldwell moves ahead of Garaway in the Division IV boys projection. Martins Ferry takes the last projected Division III girls team place, with River View and Cambridge next. Those close team contests also affect who advances individually, because runners on qualifying teams advance together.
Indian Valley's calendar lists All-County at Claymont on Tuesday, September 29, at 4 p.m., followed by the Cambridge Invitational on Saturday, October 3, at 10 a.m. Those are meet listings; individual race starts should be checked with the organizers. John Glenn also announced a performance and wellness center campaign, covered in a separate school feature.
